Chrome plating or chromium plating is a bright decorative process that can be used on a wide range of parts and equipment.

Chrome plating chemicals are for industrial/commercial use only and must be used in accordance with EPA regulations.

Chrome plating is a finishing treatment utilizing the electrolytic deposition of chromium. The most common form of chrome plating is thin, decorative bright chrome, which is typically a 0.1 - 0.5 µm layer over an underlying polished nickel plate. Thicker deposits, ranging from 12.5 - 625 µm, are called hard chrome plating and are used in industrial equipment to reduce friction and wear and to restore the dimensions of equipment that has experienced wear.

What types of parts are suitable for chroming or chrome plating?

Chrome plating is not just limited to automobile parts and motorcycles. Chromium plating can be done on a large variety of metals and parts including but not limited to the following.

  • Automotive Parts
