E-Phos 601

E-Phos 601 — Cleaner and Iron Phosphatizer for steel by immersion.

E-Phos 601 is a liquid concentrate which is diluted with water and used to clean and phosphate steel in a single step. However, if very heavy oils or grease are present, pre-cleaning with an immersion in a hot EPI alkaline soak cleaner such as E-Kleen 101 or E-Kleen 111 is recommended. Pre-cleaning will extend the working life of the E-Phos 601 solution. EPI’s high detergent E-Phos 603 formulation may be required for heavily soiled parts in three stage installations.

The E-Phos 601 coating provides a tenacious bond and undercoat for paint and it retards under-paint corrosion.
