Insta-Blak 333 – A Great Alternative to Hot Black Oxide

Clean, Deep Finish: No smutty rub-off as with other room temperature blackening processes. Insta-Blak 333 produces a super-deep, rich blackness and corrosion resistance equal to hot black oxide. Insta-Blak® 333 GEL is a room temperature swab-on/touch-up black finish for Iron and Steel.

It is an instant-acting black chemical conversion finish for all ferrous metals except stainless steel. Insta-Blak 333 GEL is recommended for quick touch-up of scratched or damaged black oxide finishes or for blackening remachined black oxide surfaces. Insta-Blak 333 GEL does meet the AMS 2484 spec.

It is also used for swab-on finishing of prototype parts. It produces no dimensional or structural change in the metal.
The finish is resistant to solvents, oils, cutting fluids, etc.

Insta-Blak S-334 is a swab-on finish recommended for quick touchup of scratched or damaged black oxide surfaces. It is also used for swab-on finishing of prototype parts. The mildly acidic liquid concentrate is used at full strength.
